Precicut Tumble Blast Type Wheel Peening machines are suitable for medium to high production demands. These machines are custom designed to suit individual components as per their design and peening specifications. These machines are ideal for commercial shot peening of small coil springs, cross, knuckle joints and small parts.
The machine consists of main blast chamber, abrasive recirculation system, dust removal & filtration system and suitably arranged blast wheel.
The components can be loaded either manually or automatically. Once the components are loaded the chamber door closes and tumbling starts. The tumbling belt is either made of continuous perforated rubber belt or steel slat type. The design ensures smooth tumbling and thorough exposure of all components to the blast stream. At the end of shot blasting time all the motors and mechanisms stop sequentially and automatically. After opening the door the belt rotates in the opposite direction to eject the blasted components from the chamber onto conveyors or shop floor.
The process parameters can be adjusted and monitored through the machine interface with advanced capabilities like report generation, SCADA, etc.
MARSH blast wheels are offered in various designs, sizes with direct motor mounted or indirect drive options. Blast wheels are selected specific to individual needs.
Hydraulic loaders are provided for loading. The bins [of standard sizes] are lifted and tilted to drop all the material inside the blast chamber. The structure is rugged and bolted to the machine and the floor for sturdiness. Special enclosures are provided to avoid any human intervention when the loader is working.
A range of unloading systems like conveyors, bins, etc can be provided for unloading of the blasted components.
Vibro Screens are designed to perform effective size based separation in coarse as well as fine sizes. Vibro Screens use wire mesh or perforated or slotted sheets for carrying out separation of material on basis of size. They are designed on the principle of Gyratory Motion. Vibro screens allow remove the unacceptable sized shots/particles from the machine. The particles which are larger than the designated shot size can cause damage to the component and create dents. On the other hand, under-sized particles shall deteriorate the shot peening intensity and make the system incapable of generating the desired compressive stresses.
Vibro screens are mandatory in shot peening applications as the shot size is very crucial factor for permanent stress generation. The correct size shots will only create the desired stress pattern in the component.
